Potassium and sodium feldspar is an indispensable core raw material for ceramics and glass industries, and its quality ( K₂O+Na₂O content, Fe₂O₃ content, whiteness ) directly determines the grade and value of the end products. We provide a mature overall solution of potassium and sodium feldspar beneficiation, through the combined process of " crushing - grinding - magnetic separation - flotation ", professionally and efficiently remove iron, titanium, mica, quartz and other impurities, and convert low-grade feldspar ore into K₂O + Na₂O ≥ 12%, Fe₂O₃ ≤ 0.2%, whiteness of ≥ 75 degrees of high value-added products. High value-added products, processing scale can be flexibly customized 50-2000 tons / day, to fully meet the demanding needs of ceramics, glass and other industries for high-quality raw materials.
1. Crushing and screening system - laying the foundation for efficient sorting
Process: Adopt " two stages and one closed-circuit " crushing process.
Coarse crushing: Jaw crusher, handling large raw ore, strong impact resistance.
Fine crushing: Cone crusher, which produces medium and fine products with uniform particle size.
Screening: Circular vibrating screen and fine crushing mechanism into a closed loop, strict control of the size of the grinding (usually ≤ 15mm), improve grinding efficiency.
2. Grinding and Classifying System - Realizing Mineral Monomer Dissociation
Process: Ball mill and spiral classifier (or hydrocyclone) are used to form a closed-circuit system.
Purpose: grind the ore to -200 mesh with a fineness of 75%-80%, so that the feldspar and impurity minerals (especially iron minerals and mica) can be fully dissociated, and create the best conditions for subsequent sorting.
3. Magnetic Separation and Iron Removal System - Deep removal of iron and titanium impurities (core impurity removal link)
Process:
Weak Magnetic Separation: Firstly, permanent magnetic cylinder magnetic separator is used to remove strong magnetic minerals (e.g. magnetite, magnetic pyrite).
Strong Magnetic Separation: followed by high gradient strong magnetic separator (background field strength 1.0 - 1.5 Tesla ) to efficiently remove weak magnetic impurities such as limonite, hematite, smectite, ilmenite and so on.
Effect: This link can remove most of the iron and titanium impurities and reduce the Fe₂O₃ content by more than 80%, which is the key to improve the whiteness and grade of the product.
4. Flotation purification system - accurate separation of mica and quartz
Scenario: When the raw ore contains more mica or quartz, and the requirement of potassium and sodium content of the product is very high.
Process: Reverse flotation process is usually adopted.
Mica Removal: Under acidic or neutral conditions, mica is preferentially flown out using amine cationic traps.
Quartz removal: under alkaline condition, use anionic and cationic combination of trappers to separate quartz by flotation.
Purpose: To further improve the total K₂O+Na₂O content to ensure the product meets the standard of high-end applications.
5. Dewatering and drying system - to produce qualified finished products
Concentration: Preliminary dewatering using high efficiency thickener.
Filtration: Plate and frame filter press or ceramic filter to obtain low moisture content filter cake (≤15%).
Drying (optional): For products with strict moisture requirements, rotary dryer is equipped for drying.
